Really.

To me, when it comes to politics, the proof is in the pudding, and so I'll give some people a pass on some of the rhetoric they feel they need to say in order to get votes if their actual acts indicate they will be more pragmatic.

Thus, I've been willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt, as he seemed to be inching toward trying to get the FTA ratified.

But his b.s. can't be tolerated. The record needs to be set straight, especially as South Korea has been working toward righting those wrongs.

Which is why, out of protest, I did not vote for Obama in November 2008 (but voted for another Democrat).kushibohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10306033998028548550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3869680.post-1990282443595144022010-07-09T02:52:52.378+09:002010-07-09T02:52:52.378+09:00"I daresay I would end my Democratic Party af..."I daresay I would end my Democratic Party affiliation."

Wow, really?

If I'm not mistaken Obama's voted against any FTA/trade issues 17 out of 17 times during his short run as Senator (please correct me if I'm wrong). Any interview he gave on why he voted against them was always based on the possible loss of union jobs. As President he's bent over backwards for the unions but now he's under pressure to create some jobs and this KORUS FTA is the one big ticket item ready to go. Six months ago I would have said this had no chance, now it's probably only a matter of time.Gokuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05522970646641753922noreply@blogger.com
