mediocre presidents

One of my all-time favorite television programs is the Simpsons (well, at least the first eight seasons of the show, plus the movie). So in honor of the upcoming election to determine who will restore America's reputation around the world, here are the music and lyrics to "Mediocre Presidents," performed by the kids of Springfield Elementary School. (The song is from 1:33 to 2:15 of the above YouTube link, which includes several other musical gems from the show, including the Monorail song and Homer Simpson doing a parody of the opening to "The Flintstones.")

Kids dressed as mediocre presidents:
We are the mediocre pre~sidents.
You want find our faces on dollars or on cents.
There's Taylor. There's Tyler. There's Filmore and there's Hayes.
There's William Henry Harrison...

Kid dressed as WHH:
I died in thirty days!

Kids dressed as mediocre presidents:
We are the adequate, forgettable, occasionally regrettable
caretaker presidents of the U~ S~ Aaaaaaay!

(It's blurry because I used a cell phone camera.)
