Just an observation

From today's inbox:
My Dear friend,

I am Miss joy peter daughter of Mr. peter Robert a licensed business merchant and a contractor.

It's my honour writing you this letter with great confidence regarding a reasonable sum of money inherited from my late father. I wish to invest this amount
Six million seven hundred thousand( 6.7million USD$) fund in your country if you can assure me of your willingness and support to help me sincerely since you are living in a more peaceful and advanced country than my war ravaged country.
Y'know, I used to get offers of $20 million from the widow of this this former dictator, $30 million from the estate of that European found dead in an African village, or even $40 million from a former official of some despotic government somewhere.

But this is only $6.7 million—probably to be split in half, no less! Is it just me or has the global economic downturn affected even the Nigerian scam-letter industry?

[above: The amount of money waiting to be funneled out of these women's country has reportedly dropped by 73% since the global economic crisis began.]
