Friday the 13th (fun stuff, not the movie where almost everybody gets brutally murdered for having premarital sex)

One of the advantages of having written hundreds upon hundreds of blog entries is that you can recycle them. 

In honor of Friday the Thirteenth, here is a post from January 2006, one that actually gets a lot of traffic even now because its information on tetraphobia (i.e., fear of the number 4 and its associated with death) led to it being cited as a reference (#11) in the Wikipedia article on Superstition (see "other superstitions").

And no, I'm not the one who put it there.
