Blame it on the Rain

Yeah, yeah. I've just been itching to use that headline.

Right here in the Aloha State, a court ordered South Korean hyper-mega-super-uber pop star (and actor) Rain to pay a whopping $8 million for canceling a Honolulu concert in 2007. That's like W7364 trillion billion zillion with today's exchange rate. (The Los Angeles Times also has the story.)

Rain, whose real name is Melvyn Hesselberger, was not happy, but you can never tell because his freakin' facial expression is always the same. Stop smiling, dogdam you! You just lost millions of dollars! Frown a little, a-hole!

Hawaii fun fact: Much like "annyŏng" (안녕), "aloha" means both hello and goodbye. As in, "Say aloha to your $8 million dollars, muther fu¢ker!"

[above: That's right: fly, fly, fly away from Hawaii and never return to the United States so you won't have to pay eight million dollars to Seung Su Lee, the president of Click.]
