South Korea's new national working motto for development — “Low carbon, green growth” — gets a brief mention in Thomas Friedman's op-ed piece about changing paradigms of growth. The mention is so brief I basically just covered it in the previous sentence. But it's still a good piece to read for how the global economic meltdown is making a very influential economist see old standbys in a very different way. Also the Onion quote at the beginning is delicious.
