Swine flu parties?

While Korean parents seem to be doing all they can to prevent their children from being infected with H1N1 at hagwons, schools, etc., it seems some British parents and their American counterparts are holding "swine flu parties" aimed at getting their kids infected now with what is perceived to be a milder strain of the virus than what is feared to come later, based on what people know of the Spanish flu in 1918.

Authorities are pooh-poohing the idea, calling it "vigilante vaccination."
